Bergville is a little town in the Northern Drakensberg region and is well known as the entry point from the South for visitors to the Royal Natal National Park and the Amphitheatre region.

Bergville has a few grocery stores, banks, fuel and other shops and visitors to the northern 'berg woyld be wise to stock up on supplies before arriving at their self-catering destination or attempting to hike and camp in the Ukhahlamba World Heritage Site, a wilderness left for those wanting to expereince the mountains on foot.

There are a few B&B's in the little town of Bergville should you want an overnight stop from Durban to Johannesburg or Bloemfontein.  However, there are numerous lodges, resorts, hotels, camping or caravanning venues in the vicinity.

Apart from visiting the Royal Natal Park for beautiful hikes, walks and sceneary, visitors are invited to enjoy adventure activities, horse rides, quad bike tracks, zip lines, golf, fly-fishing spots, delicious food at  a few restaurants, a trip to Spionkop Dam, or a visit to the Hydro Electric Scheme at Drakensville (near Jagersrust).
